Kazim Erbay was born in Sarikamis/Turkey  in 1963.  He graduated from Electronics Engineering Department at Hacettepe University in Ankara, in 1985.  He remained at the Hacettepe University to complete his Masters of Science degree in Control and Command Systems Branch until 1988.

After receiving his education and completion of military service, Mr. Erbay worked for Ericsson Turkey as a Software Engineer, Project Manager and finally Regional Sales Manager positions. His responsibility for last 3 years in Ericsson was sales of all parts of telecommunication equipment to state and enterprise customers.

After 6 years in Ericsson Turkey, he is assigned to Account Manager position in Siemens Turkey, he focused on sales of telecommunication equipment to the market and to arrange activities on all steps of tenders including KIK (State Tender Institute) structured tenders. He carried out many corporate responsibilities as Facilitator in “Management Learning Programs” and as Quality Manager to improve quality system and relevant processes for sales groups in Siemens Communication division and sub-contractors

In November 2006, Mr. Erbay was assigned to Regional Manager position at Anel Group in Turkey and was responsible for the establishment of Anel Group Regional Office in Ankara from scratch.

In 2008, he started to work as Country Manager of NEC Australia Pty Ltd. He was tasked with the management of all teams including sales, project management, administrative and technical support centre teams and sub-contractors to achieve targets. He achieved a remarkable increase in business volume in Turkey and attained the status of the second largest supplier of ADSL networks covering 2,000,000 lines in Turkey.

His dealing with satellite communications started by September 2011; his next responsibility was General Manager position of Teknomobil Satellite Communications A.S. which is unique representative of Thuraya Satellite Communications Company in Turkey.

Since 2014, Mr. Erbay has been in his current position as the Managing Director in ETES Technological Systems Engineering and Trade Co. Ltd. His target is to provide consultancy services and representation of national and international companies.

Due to his interests on futuristic awareness, he established the Ankara Branch of Turkish Futurists Association. The increase in the futuristic awareness is followed by another association centered in Ankara, Institute of Researches on Future.

He acquired the mentor certification from TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) in order to mentor and consult the companies which funded by TUBITAK.

He is an official expert on the court giving relevant testimony from the fields of his expertise, namely satellite communications and defense systems technologies and informatics.

He is married and has two children.
